Hello Dezeen Mail subscribers... all 50,000 of you!
Our plans for Milan are underway: Dezeen Studio powered by Jambox at MOST
will be a TV studio furnished by Tom Dixon where we'll film a daily show that will be uploaded to Dezeen Screen as well as being broadcast throughout the week. We're giving away tickets to the MOST party on 18 April and you can enter the competition via our Facebook page.
We're also media partners for Ventura Lambrate in the north-east of Milan again this year.
Meanwhile we've launched an initiative to promote new, original music by young and upcoming musicians, called Dezeen Music Project. Listen to the first tracks here and read more below.
In addition, Dezeen has been named #01 in the Best Blogs list of top 50 design blogs!
This issue of Dezeen Mail is packed as always with the latest comments and stories from Dezeen
- including a fire station that looks like a church, a church that looks like a cave
and an apartment that looks like a cell - plus our latest movies
and new products at Dezeen Watch Store.

and news from Dezeen Wire, and follow us on Twitter, Facebook

Dezeen relocates to Milan during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile next month where we’re setting up Dezeen Studio powered by Jambox
at MOST, the multi-faceted design epicentre instigated by Tom Dixon. The studio will be furnished by Dixon to resemble Andy Warhol's New York studio in the 1960s and we'll use it to make a daily TV show. More details »

Last time we featured this apartment by Peter Kostelov it was lined with welded metal walls. Now he's replaced them with wood but it's still too severe for our readers: "The old one looks like an prison, the new one looks like a mental asylum," says Christian. Read the story and comments »

Dezeen Music Project promotes original music by upcoming musicians. We'll publish selected tracks on our new music project blog
and a new track will be featured each week on the audio player in the right-hand column of our home page. We’ll also use submitted tracks at Dezeen events and as soundtracks to our movies. Submit your track here. More details »

Readers think the handrail of this staircase by Apollo Architects & Associates is "more a hazard than a safety feature" and are taking grisly delight in listing the wounds that falling on it might inflict. Read the story and comments »

The Team GB Olympic kit by Stella McCartney divided opinion. Some like the "more understated aesthetic" of the altered Union Jack while others think it's a missed oportunity. Read the story and comments »
